Built in 2010 in Japan. This is the high end of the Kawai grands it is the BLAK SERIES which offers higher grade of wood and hand selected material and parts. The RX-2 Classic Salon Grand was one of the most popular models of the award-winning RX Series line of grand pianos first introduced in 1995. As a collection, they were chosen "Acoustic Piano Line of the Year" by MMR Magazine in 2003, 2004 and 2005. After a successful 18-year tenure, the RX Series was replaced by the much-anticipated GX BLAK Series in 2013.
The Kawai RX Series grand pianos have long been revered for their outstanding touch and tone. The Ultra-Responsive Action with ABS Styran found in all RX models was far superior to the conventional all-wooden actions found on most other pianos. But progress at Kawai is never-ending.
