Built in 1985 in Japan. Ivory polish finish. The Kawai Piano Company was started in the 1920’s in Japan with the idea of one day creating one of the largest and highest quality piano factories in the world. By the 1970’s Kawai had a production of almost 50,000 pianos per year. Kawai is one of the only piano manufactures that still build pianos in Japan and has an excellent reputation. The Kawai KG-series was considered the first modern designed grand pianos from Kawai. The Kawai KG1 at 5’1” is the perfect piano for a small space while still delivering a warm rich tone.
