COVID-19 Update/Stay Home Make Music

In response to the Covid-19 Outbreak and in accordance with Governor Jay Inslee’s mandate our store is now closed for the 14 days required. We would like to take this time to thank you for your support and if we all work together to flatten the curve we will get through this. During this difficult and unusual time we encourage you to continue to fill your home and lives with music. Music is good for the soul!

Now that life has slowed down and with so many of us at home, this is the perfect time to spend more time at your piano. It is the perfect time to master that difficult piece you haven’t had time to work on or just to remind yourself why you enjoy playing piano. For inspiration, here are some great online resources for sheet music:

www.musicnotes.com

This easy to navigate website allows you to instantly print music. Also you can get the most out of your sheet music purchase when you sync your new sheets to our FREE iOS, Android and desktop apps, and unlock in-app transposition, audio-mixing playback, markup abilities and much more.

www.sheetmusicplus.com

This boasts the world’s largest sheet music selection and is a popular site for most music teachers. They offer online sheet music, music books, music sheets, songbooks, and music scores.

Or try online lessons, there are many online versions available, but we support our local piano teachers. We have a large network of teachers who are now offering video lessons. Please email us and we can put you in touch with a teacher who would be a good match for you or your child.

Although, attending live music is not currently an option for any of us there are a lot of musicians live streaming from their homes. This is great opportunity to still hear live music and get up close and personal with our favorite performers. Search your favorite performers and you will be surprised how many are playing from their own living rooms. We will be sharing some of our favorites on our Facebook page in the coming days.

If you don’t do Facebook, check out our website. We will be sharing links on our blog page of great videos and articles related to music.

We will continue to send updates as things change. Please know we will be here when life gets back to normal. We will be here to provide the community with place to come together and share music. We will be here to provide the best selection of pianos with the best sales staff in the area. We hope to see you soon, but until then stay home and stay healthy!

Warmest Regards,
Northwest Pianos
